Milk Men is an ethical menswear fashion brand founded and designed by conscious entrepreneur Michael Gaughan, with Susan Cadman as President to bring his vision for the brand to life. Based in Toronto, Canada the brand is on a mission to bring ethical manufacturing to the forefront of fashion. “My relationship with fashion goes way back. For as long as I can remember, I’ve modified my clothes to suit my own style. I’d have people ask where they could buy the amazing shirt I was wearing. Then, a few years ago I read an interesting article on sustainable fabrics. Who knew that you could make fabric from corn, pineapple, milk, beechwood and eucalyptus ?” – Michael Gaughan, Founder and Designer, Miik Men
The brand was launched with a capsule collection that includes wardrobe staples such as tees, hoodies and bomber jackets with incorporating unusual design elements such as graphic print lining, shirttail hemlines and square necklines. The classic designs come in monochrome colours of black, slate grey and white with the occasional addition of colour. All garments are Canadian made consisting mainly of ethically sourced modal, tercel and bamboo fabrics offering the style conscious man uncompromising stretch and softness in each item of clothing. Milk is committed to helping improve the effect fashion production and manufacturing has on the environment by continually striving to improve fabrics, designs and processes.
The Miik philosophy is about more than just using fabrics that are sustainably sourced and locally produced, its about creating garments that last and men just keep wearing. Garments are milled, dyed, designed and sewn in the Toronto, Ontario area of Canada using sustainably sourced luxury fabrics that are soft and durable.
