Named in honour of Yemaja, ‘Mother of All’ in African mythology, the Yemaja is the protector of women. She is often depicted as a mermaid and is associated with the moon, water and feminine artists – famed knitwear designer MAXHOSA BY LADUMA and influential South African music artist RIKY RICK. The multifunctional strap allows this unisex piece to be worn around your waist, cross-body, on the shoulder or carried as a clutch with the strap removed. The closure of the bag is uniquely finished with a springbok horn which sits perfectly across the front of the bag.

Made with Okapi’s own ostrich shin and blesbok leather. All materials are sustainably sourced as a by-product of the existing free range farming industry practices in South Africa.
