Founded by Nay Secka, TEGAA is the first ethical Gambian leisure wear brand that creates one-of-a-kind pieces with you and the planet in mind.  After over a decade working in the fashion industry, Nay set out on her own to create TEGAA to be everything she saw lacking in the fashion industry- sustainable, zero waste, conscious, care for workers, exceptional quality, one-of-a-kind & affordable. Each piece in our collection is hand made by artisans using sustainable, toxin-free and ethically sourced materials.

TEGAA which means “ARTISAN” in Wollof is inspired by the bohemian lifestyle of The Gambian people. It is the first ethically made Gambian resortwear brand in that is hand made by artisans using only sustainably sourced materials. TEGAA work with the Earth’s natural resources or upcycle what would otherwise be landfill such as the plastic bottles used to make their fans. Zero waste production is non-negotiable in their design process.

Additionally, 5% of all sales are donated to Power Up Gambia – a grass roots organization that provides solar-powered electricity & clean water to hospitals & clinics in The Gambia.
